Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 15, 2025, when 18 local authors will gather in the heart of Catonsville, Maryland, for a cozy, book-lover’s celebration to celebrate the upcoming holiday season.
The event — Simply Written Here: The Holiday Edition — will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Simply Made Here (2302 Frederick Road, Catonsville, Md.). This community-minded artisan shop will transform into a haven for readers, with books, author meet-and-greets, and handmade gifts inspired by the joy of reading.
I’ll be there signing copies of my debut novel, Welcome to Seagull Street, set in Ocean City, Maryland — along with an amazing lineup of local writers representing every genre, from historical fiction and memoir to romance and mystery.
The event will also feature:
- Readings and author interviews inside the cozy Reader’s Tent
- Locally roasted coffee from First Light Coffee Roasters
- A book bus and a food truck for festival-day treats
- A fire pit gathering area perfect for conversation and community
Admission is free, and it’s the perfect opportunity to pick up signed books and locally made holiday gifts while supporting Maryland authors and makers.
If you’re local to the Baltimore area, come say hello! I’d love to meet you in person and sign your copy of Welcome to Seagull Street! I’ll also have some fun holiday giveaways for those who purchase the book, along with free beach and book stickers for all!
