One of my favorite parts of being an author is getting the chance to connect with readers in person, and I’m excited to be heading to Columbia, Maryland, for a book talk and signing at Queen Takes Book on Wednesday, June 10, at 7-8:30PM/ET.
I’ll be talking about my debut novel, Welcome to Seagull Street, including the inspiration behind the story, why I chose Ocean City, Maryland, as the setting, and how some of my own experiences and memories of the beach found their way into the book.
We’ll also talk about the writing and publishing journey. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to write a novel, publish independently, market a book, or navigate the ups and downs of being an author, I’ll be sharing some behind-the-scenes stories and lessons learned along the way.
The event will be moderated by Charissa Costa of Charm City Readers and will include plenty of time for audience questions. Whether you’re a reader, writer, aspiring author, or simply someone who loves Ocean City, I’d love to hear your questions and chat with you.
You do not need to have read the book to attend. The event is free, and no purchase is necessary, but please RSVP so we have enough chairs set up, giveaways, and snacks.
After the discussion, I’ll be signing books and meeting readers. If you’re in the area, I hope you’ll join us for what promises to be a wonderful evening at one of Maryland’s great independent bookstores!
